Great Wheel

The Great Wheel
The Great Wheel is the name given to a pantheon created on the streets of Salamonis itself. After the departure of the Capitavirate in 2480, the worship of Heironeous was all but drained from the city. To fill the religious void, people reverted to the worship of gods from their homeland. This resulted in many faiths and beliefs overlapping each other and clamouring for followers. Religious days were double-booked with parades and many arguments and feuds occurred. To settle this, the leaders of the largest faiths held a meeting with the town council and Count Efferlacke, deciding finally to converge the religions into a single pantheon this as their idea went, would help to align the citizens to the same direction without the iron-fisted approach of a Theocracy like the Capitavirate with Heironeous. They named the pantheon after the legendary wheel of myth which is said to encompass the entire multiverse and every plane and creature within while it slowly spins, weaving the lives of people into a delicate thread of destiny. The name represents the fact that all are within the wheel and thus all are equal, even if they think or look different.
